Sunny Gap's History

Our church began as a vision of the Faulkner Baptist Association, and the Arkansas Baptist Convention. In 1991 we began as a mission of Pickles Gap Baptist Church with 12 people gathering in a double-wide trailer for our first worship service. Growth was consistent and exciting as we strived to establish a work for the Lord in the Sunny Gap Community. In 1993 we constituted as a church. Soon we bought 6 acres and began our first building. Presently we have over 100 members and are actively reaching out to the community for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sunny Gap's Future

We are proud of our past and we know that we have a great heritage to uphold. We know whatever God has started that he will finish. We have a vision at Sunny Gap to evangelize and disciple the entire community. We know that it will not be done easily, but we also know that the harvest is plentiful and God will reward our efforts. It is our hope that you too will catch the vision that God has given us. If you don't have a church home, we invite you to join with us to make our vision a reality.
